The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), the nation’s premiere Latino leadership development organization received a $275,000 grant from State Farm. Since becoming a CHCI partner in 2004, State Farm has provided support towards CHCI’s Annual Leadership Conference, which included a pitch competition last year, the CHCI Alumni Association, a network of more than 4,400 Latino professionals across the country, and CHCI’s R2L NextGen program.

“We believe in CHCI’s mission, and look forward to working together to develop the next generation of Latino leaders,” said Rich Garcia, State Farm Human Resources Vice President of Operations. “Our CHCI partnership, and continued support is a testament to our commitment to help the communities we serve across the country.”

State Farm was the founding sponsor of CHCI’s R2L® NextGen program in 2011. The program provides high school students with a transformational experience in Washington, DC that focuses on civic engagement, leadership, and college readiness. To date, the program has provided 623 students the extraordinary opportunity to participate in the program.

“State Farm is a valuable CHCI partner that supports our work in meaningful ways, enabling us to create opportunities and experiences that positively impact the lives of emerging Latino/a/x leaders and help them reach their full potential,” said Marco Davis, CHCI President and CEO.
