We are now open and welcoming guests back to the Flint RiverQuarium! Along with our reopening, we have also expanded our Sunday hours. Going forward, the aquarium will be open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 am-5 pm and closed on Monday. Guests should be aware that some recent construction projects are ongoing, but all exhibits will be open.

The Imagination Theater is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Movies and show times are listed below.

As part of our commitment to the continued well-being of our guests, team members, and the animals in our care, and in ongoing efforts to assist our community in preventing the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented enhanced protocols and procedures.

We've Added a Summer Camp!

Due to later school openings in some school systems, we have added an additional summer camp next week! There are only a couple of spots left, so make your reservation today!

Campers will explore the aquarium and science museum daily and complete crafts and science experiments, all while learning more about our natural world. Each camper also will receive a camp t-shirt and a reusable water bottle.

The RiverQuarium and Thronateeska education teams are committed to the safety of our campers, staff and collections. We will be following CDC Summer Camp Guidelines and AZA COVID-19 Zoological Guidelines.

Tadpole Time is designed especially for parents and pre-schoolers to enjoy together. Participants will be free to enjoy the RiverQuarium on their own after the session. It's FREE with your RiverQuarium membership or with regular admission.

Please be assured that the Flint RiverQuarium is following all recommended CDC guideline for cleaning, sanitizing and social distancing. Reservations are requested so that we can adequately prepare. Please call 229-639-2650 to reserve your spot..

Adventure Seekers Program

Saturday, August 15

Join us as we explore What's in our Water at this month's Adventure Seekers family program. Be citizen scientists and help collect and test water from the Flint River. We'll also take a look at some of the macro invertebrates we find there and learn what each of us can do to keep the water clean for all living creatures--including us!

The facility will be sanitized and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Mask usage is strongly encouraged.

Please reserve your spot(s) by calling 229-639-2650 Ext. 2006 so that we can plan accordingly. You may also email reservations@flintriverquarium.com with your reservation.

Great Georgia Pollinator Census

August 21 & 22

On August 21 and 22, residents across the state will be counting and recording pollinators like butterflies, bees, wasps, and flies as part of the Great Georgia Pollinator Census, a citizen science initiative. You can participate right here at the Flint RiverQuarium! It only takes 15 minutes. You simply choose a pollinator plant in our pollinator garden and count the pollinators that visit that plant in a 15-minute time span. Then, just turn your count sheet in to us and we will upload the results for you.
