The Albany State University Office of Career Services recently hosted the 2019 Professional Development Institute to prepare recent graduates and current for future careers.

The Professional Development Institute was designed to promote professionalism and preparation for future careers through mock interviews, networking opportunities, and table talks from over eighteen different companies. Participants received real-time feedback from company representatives in order to improve their interviewing skills.

The dynamic networking opportunity provided firsthand exposure to various companies and gave students access to information about internships, job opening cycles and on sight hiring events. Students also discussed issues such as social media policies and business culture during table talks.

The event included representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Amazon, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the City of Albany and more.
