Art Hallows' Eve Coming October 31st to Albany Museum of Art

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Monday, October 28th, 2019

Carve out a hauntingly good time for your child on Halloween by bringing your ghoul or cowboy to the Albany Museum of Art’s Art Hallows’ Eve.

Princesses, superheroes, goblins and all their friends are welcome to drop by the AMA anytime between 10 am and 1 pm on Thursday, Oct 31, 2019. The AMA will scare up some treats for kids, who will be able to create spooky Halloween crafts while they visit. We may even have time for a haunting tale or two.

“Kids can get into their costumes and come out early for some spooktacular fun,” said Annie Vanoteghem, director of education and public programming for the museum. “We’ll have treats and prizes, and then we’ll create some fang-tastic art projects in the classroom.”

It’s a ghoulishly delightful way to get your little monster or magician in the mood for the creepiest night of the year. Costumes are encouraged, but kids are welcome to come as they are.

“Since the event is a daytime one, none of the small trick-or-treaters will be tired or miss their bedtime,” Vanoteghem said. “By the way, if your little pirate or Vampirina has school that day, they don’t have to miss out. We’ll just keep stirring the old cauldron until the museum closes at 5 pm.”

There’s no cost to attend Art Hallows’ Eve, and you don’t have to register. Just drop in when you like.

After all, we’ll be expecting you. Mwahahahaha!
