Monthly Campus Tours Planned Through the End of the Year
 at Albany Technical College

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Thursday, July 18th, 2019

Albany Technical College has planned once a month Saturday campus tours through the end of 2019. The next tour will be Saturday, July 20, starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center, 1704 South Slappey Boulevard. More than 100 people will attend Saturday’s event including members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Albany. An introduction and information session will kick-off the tour at the conference center.

Campus tours are designed to give future students an insight into what they may be interested in at the college. Each month Albany Tech will feature a walking tour of designated parts of the campus with stops along the way to speak with faculty in respective departments. Prospective students will be able to ask questions and experience areas of interest in a casual, guided walk around campus.

“People ride by this campus all the time or maybe hear about us in the media, but don’t quite realize just what remarkable things we have to offer behind these walls. With today’s busy schedules, it is hard to get away during the week to see a college. This is a unique sightseeing survey that we have established at Albany Tech.  Individuals in the community will be able to experience the life-changing opportunities we have to offer here at the college,” stated Dr. Anthony Parker, President of Albany Technical College.

This Saturday’s tour will feature Diesel Equipment Technology, Nursing, the Academic Advisement Center, Early Childhood Care and Education, Environmental Horticulture and Adult Education. Albany Technical College has more than 170 different degree, diploma, and technical certificates from which to choose. Faculty and staff will be at the college to discuss individual programs.

The guided tours are planned once a month on Saturday and are as follows:

  • July 20

  • August 31

  • September 14

  • October 19

  • November 16

  • December 7
