Mended Hearts, the largest heart patient support network in the world, is excited to announce the official opening of its National office in Albany, GA during a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony on March 26, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. ET.

The nonprofit, which has over 18,000 members and 300 chapters across the nation, has been supporting, educating and advocating for heart patients and their families since 1961.  Peer-to-peer hospital visits, our Bravery Bag program, educational items like the Mended Hearts and Mended Little Hearts HeartGuides and campaigns like Rock Your Scar and Roar ‘N Run are just a few of the ways the organization impacts those patients in need.  Formerly located in Dallas, TX, Mended Hearts has relocated to Albany, GA to be closer to the patients and families it serves every day.

“We are thrilled to relocate the Mended Hearts National Resource Center to the Albany community,” said Mended Hearts President Donnette Smith.  “Local chapter members, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and the community at large have been very welcoming and supportive during our relocation process. Our goal is to provide support and educational resources to heart patients, caregivers and family members and let them know that they are not alone in their journey.  Moving to a smaller community where we can be closer to patients will enable us to do that.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at the new Mended Hearts offices located in the Merry Acres Executive Building, 1500 Dawson Road in Albany, GA.
