Several South Georgia GDOL Offices to Close Today

Due to the potential for dangerous weather conditions, the Georgia Department of Labor closed a number of offices across the state today.

Hurricane Michael is expected to impact the state in South Georgia with high winds and heavy rain. Gov. Nathan Deal issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency across much of south Georgia.
 
GDOL has closed the following career centers for today:
 
Albany -  1608 S. Slappey Blvd., Albany, Georgia

Bainbridge - 310 S. Scott St., Bainbridge, Georgia

Cairo - 225 5th St. NE, Cairo, Georgia

Moultrie - 220 N. Main St., Moultrie, Georgia

Thomasville - 403 N. Broad St., Thomasville, Georgia

Douglas - 70 Lockwood Dr., Douglas, Georgia

Tifton -  820 Love Ave. C, Tifton, Georgia

Valdosta - 221 S. Ashley St., Valdosta, Georgia

Waycross -  600 Plant Ave., Waycross, Georgia.
 
GDOL will continue monitoring conditions in a number of other counties – Sumter, Richmond, Glynn, Muscogee, Laurens, Liberty, Houston, Camden, Bibb, Baldwin, Chatham, Bulloch and Toombs – to decide if further closures are needed.
