New Date & Location: Smart Cities Coming to Albany

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Monday, October 29th, 2018

Due to the effects of Hurricane Michael, the Smart Cities Coming to Albany Event has been postponed and will be held at a new location.

Join local alumni and community leaders on October 30th at the Flint RiverQuarium - Imagination Theater as we celebrate the City of Albany for participating in Georgia Tech's Smart Communities Challenge.

In Albany, the city and its collaborators will establish an efficient inventory of key community housing and associated infrastructure conditions. City leaders said this housing resiliency project will provide them with the data to make sure resources are being spent and allocated in ways that will result in the biggest positive impact.

Hear more details about Albany's plan from guest speakers Steven Carter, CIO, City of Albany and Debra Lam, Managing Director, Smart Cities and Inclusive Innovation. There is no cost to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
