LRA Constructors, Inc. has recently started renovations to the Dougherty County Government Center in downtown Albany, Georgia.  Exterior renovations include masonry repairs, isolated roofing, storefront/glazing replacement and weather proofing to the 5-story building.  Interior renovations include finishes and MEP updates at common areas of all five floors as well as the north and south atriums.  The building will remain open during construction.

“We are excited to start work on this important project for Dougherty County,” said Jason Burnette, project manager.  “This is a challenging project due to logistics, phasing and safety and we are proud to have a strong team of subcontractors on board”.

As general contractor, the company is working closely with Dougherty County Facilities Management and SRJ Architects Inc. to deliver the project.  Construction schedule expected to be six months.

This project marks the company’s second major project currently active in downtown Albany, with construction on The Flint Restaurant also underway.
