Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Georgia announced that the Company’s 2019 Medicare Advantage PPO plans, which will be offered in many counties throughout Georgia, are rated 4 Stars by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, with five stars being the best rating. CMS’ Medicare Star Ratings gives health plans scores for the quality and performance of their services.

In addition, we have been fortunate to collaborate with care providers in our network who play an important role in helping us deliver an enhanced healthcare experience for individuals enrolled in our health plans.”

The Company’s Anthem MediBlue Access (PPO) and Anthem MediBlue Access Basic (PPO) Medicare Advantage Plans are rated 4 Stars in 2019.

  • Help members stay healthy

  • Assist members in managing chronic conditions

  • Ensure positive member experiences with their health plan

  • Achieve member satisfaction

  • Provide effective customer service

Additionally, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans that provide drug services are rated on how well they provide prescription-related coverage along a number of factors: customer service, member complaints, member experience with drug plan, and drug safety.
