Albany Technical College will hold its fourth Employer Workforce Outreach event on Thursday, September 6, 2018, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and various employers from the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology field will be present for a roundtable discussion of employer needs.

ATC realized the need to connect employers with ATC students and graduates and the community to discuss what area employers will need in an employee and the future demand in the industry. A panel of employers will discuss the desired qualities and traits they are looking for in potential employees, as well as the workforce need within the respective industries.

“Connecting employers with students so that they can share employment information is part of our overall goals for a successful experience here at Albany Technical College. Our vision is to see individuals prepared for entry level placement within the industry,” said Dr. Emmett Griswold, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The employer panel for this event will include employers from NEOS, MetroPower, A. West Enterprise,
MillerCoors, Albany State University, Phoebe Putney and Thrush Aircraft.
