Watson Spence Partner Earns Coveted Master’s Degree in Health Law

Watson Spence partner, Louis Hatcher, has earned a Master of Science in Health Law and Policy from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. Hatcher finished the two-year, 32 credit hour program at the top of his class with a 4.0 GPA. The master’s degree emphasiszes coursework in health law, regulatory affairs, public policy, insurance and health care administration, with a particular emphasis on health care compliance.

Cumberland’s MSHLP is one of only 13 in the nation accredited by the Compliance Certification Board, and graduates of the program are qualified to sit for the CCB’s Certified in Healthcare Compliance, Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance, and Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional certifications. Mr. Hatcher soon will sit for these certification exams.
