Community Capital Bancshares, Inc. and AB&T are pleased to welcome the newest addition to the company’s Board of Directors, Laurence “Kirk” Jones, who was elected to a term that expires in 2020.

Jones, an area farmer and businessman, is owner of Jones Farms of Warwick, Inc., which grows various row crops, primarily cotton, and is co-owner of Doles Peanut Company, a successful Southwest Georgia peanut farm. He is also a principal partner of Doles Grain, LLC.

With his deep understanding of Georgia’s largest industry and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia, Jones brings valuable insight related to agriculture and business to the AB&T board.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Kirk join the AB&T team,” said AB&T President, CEO and Board Chairman Luke Flatt. “His expertise and experience, along with his life-long ties to the community, make him an excellent addition to our board. With the added benefit of Kirk’s leadership and guidance to an already strong board I have no doubt AB&T will continue to provide the Gold Standard in community banking to our area for years to come.”

A native of Warwick, GA Jones is married to fellow area native Marlin Jones and together they are the parents of two sons, Gleaton and Cole. The family attends Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.
