Barbara Mulholland Has Joined the Hall Booth Smith P.C.

Barbara Mulholland has joined the Hall Booth Smith P.C. firm as Of Counsel in its growing Albany office.

Mulholland will specialize in transportation, insurance coverage, cargo, medical malpractice, agricultural and charter school law. She joins Hall Booth Smith’s expanding Albany office that includes Managing Partner Michael S. Meyer von Bremen, Partner Robert J. “Bob” Middleton, Of Counsel J. Brown Moseley and Associate Kathryn Dunnam.

“We are so pleased to welcome Barbara and her impressive experience to the Hall Booth Smith family, and we are delighted to have her talents and sharp legal mind as she joins the Albany office as Of Counsel,” said Meyer von Bremen, who leads the Albany office and is an experienced litigator who has been with the firm for more than 15 years.

Before joining HBS, Mulholland’s 17-year legal career includes trucking defense, insurance coverage, cargo disputes, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability and charter school law. In addition to practicing with multiple Atlanta-based law firms, she founded her own boutique firm in 2016 dedicated to trucking defense, insurance coverage and charter school law. Mulholland has successfully represented some of the country’s largest motor carriers and insurers in both major and minor loss liability claims, complex insurance coverage matters and multiparty cargo disputes.

Mulholland has a growing charter school law practice and has served as school attorney for both south Georgia and Atlanta-area charter schools. She also offers local specialized assistance to south Georgia farmers and agribusinesses for the many legal issues facing them today. Mulholland is a regular speaker on issues relating to charter school law and is a past presenter at the Georgia Charter School Association Annual Conferences and the newly formed Leadership Center.

She has been a speaker at many insurance professional continuing legal education classes in Georgia and Tennessee on issues relating to liability claims and tort law. Mulholland is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association, the Alliance of Public Charter School Attorneys, and the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. She holds a juris doctor degree from Georgia State University College of Law and a bachelor of arts from the City University of New York. She lives in Camilla with her husband and three young sons.
