Phoebe is proud to announce that its Network of Trust School Health Program will be honored this fall by Voices for Georgia’s Children at the Big Voice for Children Awards. Big Voice for Children Awards is a benefit to honor and celebrate the impact of those who are dedicated to advancing the well-being of children.

“We are extremely excited and honored to be recognized at this year’s Big Voice for Children Awards. Since day one it has been our mission to serve has advocates for the youth in our community,” said Angie Barber, director of Network of Trust School Health Program. “Children are our future, and the leadership at Phoebe has shown an outstanding commitment over the years to making that future a bright one for the children of southwest Georgia.”

Network of Trust began in 1994 as a program for teen parents in response to a high nation-wide teen pregnancy rate. Over the years the program expanded to become a School Health Program and has added numerous community outreach initiatives, including CPR training, health screenings and Safe Sitter. Dedicated to the betterment of the community, Network of Trust addresses positive youth outcomes academically, emotionally, and physically through a committed team of nurses and educators.

Voices for Georgia’s Children, which was established in 2003, is a nonprofit child policy and advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for children. Their mission is to promote equity, quality and accessibility in systems created to serve children’s needs. This year’s other honorees are the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, Founding Executive Director of Voices for Georgia’s Children Pat Willis and Chatham County Juvenile Court Presiding Judge LeRoy Burke, III.
