MCLB Albany is scheduled to host a Vietnam Veterans Commemoration Breakfast at the Town & Country Ballroom April 4 at 7:30 a.m.

The event is open to all personnel with base access.

According to www.defense.gov, the Vietnam War Commemoration recognizes all men and women who served on active-duty in the U.S. Armed forces from Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975.  Nine million Americans, approximately seven million living today, served during that period, and the commemoration makes no distinction between veterans who served in-country, in-theater, or were stationed elsewhere during those 20 years.  All answered the call of duty.

Media attending should be at the base’s main gate at 7:15 a.m. for proper escort.
