Flint RiverQuarium Celebrates Earth Day April 21st

Celebrate Earth Day, Saturday, April 21, from 10 am-2 pm in the Flint RiverQuarium outdoor plaza. The Flint RiverQuarium, in partnership with the Southwest Georgia Master Gardeners Extension Volunteers, will bring together a variety of organizations, exhibits, and activities that focus on the beauty of our natural world and what we can do to help protect it. All Earth Day activities in the plaza are free. Regular admission rates apply for Flint RiverQuarium entrance.
 
Scheduled activities and exhibitors include:

Farmer Fredo will be discussing backyard gardening.

Southwest Georgia Master Gardeners will provide demonstrations that include:

The art of bonsai

Plant a squash seed kids’ activity

Proper propagation of camellias by a recognized expert

Scavenger hunt for kids

Daylilies and vegetable transplants available for sale

Paint-a-flower-pot with Miss Albany and other title holders.

Free movies in the Imagination Theater. Wildkratts: Wild Reptiles and Bees: Tales from the Hive will be shown throughout the day.
