Westover FCCLA Student Earns Perfect Score at State conference

The Westover Comprehensive High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America attended their State Leadership Conference in Atlanta March 9-10, 2018. Nikymbria Brooks entered the Creed Speaking and Interpretation State Event and achieve a perfect score from two of the three judges. She emerged first place winner in her category, earning a $200.00 award. In this competition, participants had to memorized and repeat the FCCLA creed then provide their personal interpretation, in addition, respond to the judges’ questions.

“Awesome in every aspect, responded well to questions-tone and enthusiasm was outstanding,” commented one of the judges. Nikymbria is also an officer in her school’s FCCLA.

The main focus of FCCLA is the family; the group thanks the members of the WHS family who made this possible. Lorraine Montague is the FCCLA advisor at Westover High.
