Magnolia Plantation, 4657 acres located near Albany, Georgia has been sold for $13 million.

The sale, which closed earlier this month, was handled by Plantation Services who represented the seller and was the sole broker involved.  Magnolia was owned by the family of Dr. Charles A. Thomas for over fifty years and is regarded as one of the most diverse hunting properties among the Albany plantations.

The buyers are Rob and Ruth Bearden of Madison, Georgia.

The Bearden family is excited about the opportunity to restore the buildings, grounds and habitat to create a world class sporting property.

“This sale was particularly rewarding”, said Lee Walters, Vice President of Sales for Plantation Services. “In the course of an extended period of negotiations, Magnolia was one of several area plantations that suffered damage from devastating storms that swept through the area in 2017. Thanks to everyone’s patience and perseverence we concluded with a satisfactory outcome.”

Plantation Services has specialized in the sale and management of southeastern plantations since 1959. During this time the company has sold more plantations than any other firm, and is recognized as the most trusted name in plantation sale
