Albany Technical College Celebrates Engineering Week February 19th-23rd

Albany Technical College and the ATC Engineering Preparatory Academy will celebrate Engineering Week February 19-23, 2018, by holding a number of events on campus for the high schools, middle schools, and the community.

On Tuesday, beginning at 9:15 a.m., there will be a Community Partner Day for Dougherty County High, Monroe Comprehensive High, Westover High, and Turner Job Corps students.

Mid-week activities include “High School Day” on Wednesday, beginning at 9:15 a.m., with students visiting the campus from Baker County High, Calhoun County High, Lee County High, Randolph County High, and Terrell County High. Thursday is “Middle School Day” with visits from students at Albany Middle, Merry Acres Middle, Radium Springs Middle, and Robert A. Cross Middle School. The week will conclude on Friday at 10 a.m. with a wrap-up Q&A session by the Albany Tech Engineering Preparatory Academy staff.

During Thursday’s session, there will be a live robotics demonstration by the Merry Acres Eighth Grade ATC Engineering Preparatory Academy students, where visitors will be able to hear about their experience as ATCEPA participants. Participating ATC programs for the event include Civil Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, and Electronics Technology.
