In commemoration of the 2018 legislative session, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce revealed the organization’s 8 for 18 priorities during their annual Eggs & Issues Breakfast.

Created as a 2018 initiative, the Georgia Chamber’s 8 for 18 priorities serve as a legislative strategy to advance economic prosperity and inform political candidates on issues relative to Georgia’s business community as they seek to adopt pro-business platforms. As their official statewide prosperity agenda, the platform seeks to address eight of the state’s most relative economic issues, and offers effective measures to improve the quality of life and business climate across the state.

The Georgia Chamber’s 8 for 18 priorities are as follows:

Build and maintain a modern infrastructure system

Bolster economic mobility & diverse, thriving communities

Develop Georgia as a talent epicenter and grow a diverse and highly skilled workforce

Enhance Georgia’s international standing as a hub for global commerce and agriculture

Ensure all Georgia communities have access to quality healthcare

Commit to creating and implementing a plan for a rural renaissance

Support Georgia’s creative economy for startup innovation and small business success

Prioritize the immediate improvement of Georgia’s legal and business climate

While the platform provides invaluable insight regarding these economic challenges, it also helps to equip policymakers, industry leaders, and members of the public with the resources needed to produce innovative solutions

As the state’s largest business champion, the Georgia Chamber is dedicated to working with our affiliates and elected officials to progress the state’s economy for communities and businesses of all sizes.
