29TH Annual Jingle Bell Jog Set for Saturday

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Friday, December 8th, 2017

The Phoebe Foundation is hosting its 29th Annual Jingle Bell Jog this Saturday, December 9 at Tift Park in Albany. One hundred percent of every dollar raised through this family fun event benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The money raised purchases life-saving equipment and provides vital education to help the many ill and injured children treated at Phoebe.

The Jingle Bell Jog consists of a 5K run and walk, a 10K run, and a 1-mile fun walk. Over 1,000 participants will wind their way through the tree-lined streets of Albany's beautiful Rawson Circle neighborhood. Three-deep awards in 15 age categories go to 5K and 10K runners. The top male and female over the age of forty in the 5K and 10K races receive prestigious Master Awards. The Jingle Bell Jog is an affiliate of Run & See Georgia and boasts a USATF Certified Course.

Even if you are not participating in the races, there are many other fun activities for the whole family. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there as well as a s’mores station.  The Tift Park Community Market will also be at the Jingle Bell Jog with more than 40 vendors from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., just in time to pick-up some wonderful holiday goodies.

The 10K run begins at 8 a.m. followed by the 1 mile fun walk at 9 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30 a.m. The awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. or after the last runner. For more information, contact the Phoebe Foundation at 229-312-4483.
