Albany Advocacy Resource Center has been awarded a Three-Year Term of Accreditation by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. This latest accreditation is the fifth consecutive CARF accreditation that has been awarded to Albany ARC.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.

An organization receiving a Three-Year Term of Accreditation has voluntarily put itself through a rigorous peer review process and demonstrated to a term of surveyors during an on-site survey that it is committed to conforming to CARF’s accreditation conditions and standards. Furthermore, an organization that earns CARF accreditation is commended on its quest for quality programs and services.

Regarding the CARF experience, Albany ARC Executive Director Sonny Slate says, “We are pleased to receive the three-year accreditation term from CARF. This recognition reflects the dedication and determination of our Board and staff to ensure we are fully engaged in best practices in all of our service delivery areas, as well as fully committed to true community inclusion on behalf of all individuals we are privileged to serve. “
