Monday, October 9th, 2017

On Friday, September 29, 2017 , Westover Comprehensive High School hosted its Annual Blood Drive sponsored by Westover’s healthcare science club, HOSA. The members of the club dedicated themselves to encouraging students, teachers, friends and family members to donate blood to help save the lives of others. Westover collected a total of 27 units for the Fall blood drive. Westover’s HOSA has plans of conducting another blood drive in the Spring of 2018. Westover has an ongoing partnership with the American Red Cross.

Principal Chunn stated he is very proud of Mrs. Vester Weaver, Mrs. Jasmine Williams and  their  healthcare students for getting Westover involved in this community life saving event. It is very rewarding because these participating students conducting the blood drive and the  donors know that they are making a difference.

Mrs. Weaver stated they look forward to these annual blood drives at Westover.
