Phoebe Works to Return to Normal Operations

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Tuesday, September 12th, 2017

Thankfully, Albany weathered Irma with less damage than was anticipated, and Phoebe served the healthcare needs of southwest Georgians through the storm with no major disruptions.  Nearly 400 Phoebe Family members spent Sunday night on our campus to assure we were able to fully staff our day shift and night shift on Monday.  Those employees are returning home at the end of their shifts with our deep gratitude for their dedication to our patients.

We plan to reopen Phoebe Urgent Care Clinics and the Phoebe Community Care Clinic Tuesday morning.  Services will also resume Tuesday at the Carlton Breast Center and the Phoebe Hematology/Oncology Clinic.  All Phoebe Physician outpatient clinics and Phoebe Physical Medicine at Northwest will remain closed Tuesday but will reopen Wednesday morning.  All outpatient and elective surgical procedures are cancelled for Tuesday, and a full schedule will resume Wednesday.

If patients have not been contacted about changes to scheduled appointments, they can call 229-312-4833 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday for assistance.
