DCSS Schools to Remain Closed Tuesday, September 12th

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Monday, September 11th, 2017

Based on the latest information received regarding Hurricane Irma and its projected path, DCSS schools will be closed Tuesday, September 12, 2017 for all students and school-based employees not mentioned below.

All principals, assistant principals and department heads are to report to their buildings by 9 a.m. Tuesday if conditions permit for a damage assessment. All 12-month employees should report to their normal work sites if safe to do so.

School system leadership will continue to monitor and evaluate conditions after the storm moves through and will provide any necessary updates as information becomes available. As said before,  take this opportunity to download the Dougherty County School System app, to follow us on social media and to stay up-to-date with events through local media for information on restarting.
