Wednesday, December 21st, 2016

Albany Technical College’s Center for Business Solutions Continuing Education department kicked off a three-day “Tech Camp” beginning Monday, December 19, 2016 and ending on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.

The camp is geared toward elementary and middle schoolers ages 10 to 14, who are interested in science and technology fields. Starting out in the Innovation Center for the Albany Tech Robotics Program, the camp will move on to computer programming, web design, and photography tomorrow, and end the camp with 3D printing in Albany Tech’s Drafting Technology program.

During the robotics portion of the camp, students will be able to create their own robot with Legos and compete against other campers. They will be able to see 3D printing in action during the drafting portion and even take home their own 3D project at the end of the day on Wednesday. For photography, students will embark upon a photo expedition on the Albany Tech campus and incorporate photos into a newsletter and presentation.

All instruction for the camp is provided by Albany Tech Faculty and Staff. For more information, contact Tracy Wallace at 229.430.3867 or email [email protected].
