The United States Social Security Administration has completed integration with Equifax Inc., a global information solutions provider, to supply identity proofing and account, address and mobile device verification. The services will help the SSA manage risk and mitigate fraud for my Social Security program which allows employees and retirees to monitor their social security accounts.

Equifax will assist the SSA in securing SSA's online services using their online risk-based authentication solution. By implementing Equifax solutions to detect and mitigate fraud, the agency will enhance its defense-in-depth strategy for securing eServices.

"Equifax and the SSA have a long and successful history of helping maintain the privacy and proper use of sensitive information," said Sunjay Talele, General Manager of Identity and Fraud Solutions at Equifax. "This partnership will help protect the millions of online transactions and calls the SSA manages annually."

As demand for the SSA's services increases with increasing number of retirees, the Equifax services will help the agency provide citizens with a more secure, reliable, and efficient service delivery channel for transacting business electronically.
