Watson Spence is pleased to announce Alfreda Sheppard has joined the partnership.  Her contribution in niche areas- labor and employment litigation, government liability litigation, and white collar criminal defense - over the past seven years has made her an excellent candidate to join the partnership. 

Alfreda received her bachelor's degree in English from Fort Valley State University in 1999 and her master's in Public Administration in 2001 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She went on to receive her J.D. in 2005 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. After law school, she worked as a defense attorney from 2006 to 2009 for the Georgia Office of Public Defenders before accepting an associate position at Watson Spence. Alfreda is a valuable member of the Albany community, serving as a Regional Vice-President for the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, the board President for the Flint River Area Habitat for Humanity, as well as a board member of Easter Seals Southern Georgia. Currently, Alfreda is a Trustee for the Albany Museum of Art, where she serves as the Chair of the Membership Committee. Alfreda and her husband, Dwight, have two sons, Devin and Dylan.
