The Georgia Southwestern State University Center for Business and Economic Development is pleased to announce that the 2016 Economic Outlook luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.. This is the 21st program in a series of annual economic outlook events sponsored by the Georgia Southwestern State University Center for Business and Economic Development.

The luncheon will be held in the Faculty Dining Room of the Thomas O. Marshall Jr., Pavilion within the Marshall Student Center.Dr. Rajeev Dhawan

The featured speaker is Rajeev Dhawan, Ph.D., Director and Professor Economic Forecasting Center J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. As director of the Center, Dhawan develops U.S., Southeast regional and local metro economy forecasts, which are published and presented to business leaders and the media at quarterly forecast conferences.

One of the country’s leading economists, Dhawan was named to "Georgia Trend" magazine’s list of the “100 Most Influential Georgians” and is a regular contributor to the Blue Chip Economic Indicators, "USA Today "forecasters survey, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Livingston Survey, and the Consensus Economics forecast panel in the UK.
