ASU & CSU Presidents Among Those Appointed to Georgia Council on Economic Education

The Georgia Council on Economic Education has elected two new members to its Board and has made several committee appointments.

Dr. Arthur Dunning, President of Albany State University, and Dr. Chris Markwood, President of Columbus State University, were elected to the Board of Trustees and will serve three-year terms.

In addition, Nancy Cobb, Assistant to the Executive Vice President and CFO, Georgia Power, has been appointed to the Development Committee. Joy Hatcher, Social Studies Program Specialist, Georgia Department of Education, will serve on the Program and Research Committees. Erin Wrigley, Client and Executive Support Manager, Corporate Communications, Georgia Power, has been appointed to the Communications Committee.

The Board of Trustees is made up of leaders from business, government and education. Loren Starr, Senior Managing Director and CFO, Invesco, serves as the Council’s Chair, and Kirby Thompson, Senior Vice President, Community and Government Affairs, SunTrust Bank, serves as Vice Chair. Ronald Domanico, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Capital Markets, Recall, Inc., is the Georgia Council’s Secretary-Treasurer.
