Deerfield-Windsor School successfully concluded its $2.15 million capital campaign.  Ron Mitchell, Chair of the Deerfield-Windsor School Board of Trustees, in declaring the campaign a success said, “The completion of our campaign is yet another milestone in the continuing success of Deerfield-Windsor School. We strongly believe in Deerfield-Windsor and are grateful for the work and support of those who came before us.  It is our time to pay it forward for future generations of Knights.”

The campaign had two priorities:  establishment of a half-million dollar endowment for faculty professional development and the construction of a $1.5 million health and fitness center.  The addition will be called the Graham P. Lowe Family Health and Fitness Center in honor of the school’s first Headmaster.

Dave Davies, DWS Headmaster, stated, “Deerfield-Windsor has been fortunate to have had strong Board leadership who believed in this campaign even in some challenging economic times. We were confident that our supporters saw the need for these two priorities and would get behind the effort. This endowment will ensure that our faculty will be able to maintain their skills at a high level, and the building will provide adequate space and equipment for all of our students and our athletic teams to attain optimum fitness.”

Director of Advancement, Dona Lyn Goodpasture, said, “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends of Deerfield-Windsor School. The support of the DWS family is a testament to the common desire for DWS to advance in our mission.”

The Lowe Center will be officially opened on October 8th.
