Easter Seals Southern Georgia's capital campaign has raised over $300,000 since it launched the campaign in February last year. The goal is $500,000. The money goes to building a new and bigger Megan's House so that more families can utilize the respite home.

Easter Seals' Megan's House is one of a kind in the state of Georgia. There are no other respite homes for families to use. The Albany Megan's House is funded by donations, united Way and the Team Bass Tournament fundraiser. "This community is why Megan's House exists, not just because of the need in the community, but because the community supports it. Without that community support we couldn't be here 11 years later," said Nicki Wilson, Director of Respite and Family Support Services. Recently, the Albany Bass Club presented a check for $7100 to Megan's House from the proceeds of their March tournament. Area businesses, grants, and individual donations have made up the $300,000 already raised.
