Albany Technical College’s Healthcare Technology and Computer Technology Programs will hold two Careers In High Demand Summer Enrichment Camps. The Health Enrichment Academy Training (HEAT) will be held May 26th through June 18th and the Technology Enrichment Academy (TEA) will be held July 7th through the 30th. Camp days will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week from 8:30am to 11:30am.

In order to align its mission with the Governor’s High Demand Career Initiative to expose and ignite genuine interest among high school students to the various career options, Albany Technical College created the two eight-week camps to promote skills and careers in the Healthcare and Information Technologies professions.

The camps are open to 25 high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors within Albany Tech’s Service Delivery Area, which includes Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Dougherty, Lee, Randolph, and Terrell counties. There is no cost to attend. Students attending the HEAT camp will focus on Nursing, Paramedicine, and Surgical Technology. TEA camp attendees will focus on Networking, Computer Support Services, and Telecommunications. Both camps will include safety, lab demonstrations, and discussion of career options available.

Albany Tech’s Career Development Center will be offering workshops on interviewing and resume writing skills on June 16th and 17th for HEAT students and again on July 14th and 15th for TEA students.
