Albany Tech Phi Beta Lambda Members Win at State Conference

Albany Technical College Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) members and advisors attended the State Conference in Atlanta on April 10th and 12th and brought back awards in several events.

Criteria for the award is designated for student members who have been loyal and committed members of their local chapter and Georgia PBL. Winners from Albany Tech included Molly Nixon-Loving, PBL Most Outstanding Member; Bettye Bryant, Who’s Who in PBL. 

Each PBL chapter is encouraged to present a PBL member who has made the most outstanding contributions to the association at the local, state, and national level. Albany Tech won First Place in Division II for a $250 donation to March of Dimes and $200 to the Georgia PBL Foundation. Individual winners from Albany Tech in this division included: Molly Nixon-Loving, Fourth Place, Management Concepts; Willie Brown, Fifth Place, Business Communications; Rosa Wilson, Fourth Place, Retail Management; and Shynekia Emanuel, Fifth Place, Word Processing. 

Albany Tech drawing winners during the conference included Tanitha Johnson (two Google Play gift cards) and Molly Nixon-Loving (Beat Speakers). Albany Tech PBL Advisor, Emma Johnson, also won an Advisors’ Service Award for five years of service. Susan Ogles was also a participant in the Client Services’ event.
