Georgia Lawmakers Pass Medical Marijuana Bill

The General Assembly gave final passage Wednesday to legislation legalizing the use of a marijuana derivative to treat Georgians with a wide range of diseases.
The state House of Representatives passed the medical marijuana bill 160-1, ending two years of struggle to exempt from prosecution Georgians in possession of cannabidiol.
