Recent executive action will allow millions of undocumented immigrants to apply for work authorization and remain in the US temporarily. This action also means changes to employment-based immigration procedures and policies are possible. Find out how these measures will impact your business and employees, without even leaving your desk!
The webinar will include a power point presentation that can be used as a resource, and will be presented and moderated by three experienced immigration lawyers, who will cover:
- What does “deferred action” for individuals who are currently undocumented mean for the employers where they are currently working?
- What improvements relating to high-skilled legal immigration might result from future agency actions?
Presenters include:
- Eleanor Pelta, Partner at the Morgan Lewis law firm in Washington, DC, who heads up the firm’s business immigration practice – Eleanor is active with the U.S. Chamber’s Immigration Subcommittee and is the former president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
- Eric Bord, Partner at the Morgan Lewis law firm, a business immigration lawyer with extensive experience in helping employers with the employment verification process, among other issues – Eric is active with the U.S. Chamber’s Immigration Subcommittee
- The webinar will be moderated by Amy Nice, Executive Director of Immigration Policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – Amy was an immigration practitioner for 23 years before joining the Chamber in 2010.
