For the fourth consecutive year, Albany State University has earned the designation as a military friendly school.

The title and listing developed by Victory Media provides service members data-driven ratings about post-military education and is awarded to the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country who have dedicated resources to ensuring the success of military students in the classroom and after graduation. The methodology used has played a significant role in capturing and advancing best practices to support military students across the country.

“Albany State is a great institution for all students including those affiliated with the military. We prepare service members for numerous careers,” said ASU Military Liaison Coordinator Claven Williams. “Being named to the list of the top military-friendly colleges and universities lets students know that our administration, faculty and staff are committed to providing them access to a high quality education,” Williams added.

The survey captures over 50 leading practices in supporting military students such as faculty to student ratio, degree options, and  online and distance learning programs, and is available free of charge to the more than 8,000 schools approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding.
