Easter Seals Southern Georgia Joins the Georgia Supportive Employment Coalition

Easter Seals Southern Georgia has been chosen to participate in the Georgia Supported Employment Coalition. Referrals will be received from the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) for regions 4 and 5. The Easter Seals vocational departments in Albany, Valdosta, and Waycross will be working on the pilot project. The focus will be on transition to competitive customized employment for students with developmental disabilities leaving high school. Easter Seals Southern Georgia is looking to collaborate with businesses in placing these individuals in a work setting.

Easter Seals Vocational Services provides employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities or special needs by offering a variety of trainings and services to assist them in becoming work ready.
