The 28th annual Lopez Hospice Golf Classic, featuring Ladies Professional Golf Association Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez, is scheduled for today and Friday.

The festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. today at Doublegate Country Club on Old Dawson Road, with a pre-tournament Nashville Nights Bash where golfers and non-golfer guests will be able to enjoy an evening hosted by Lopez.

As part of the pre-tournament event, Music City will be coming to Albany with entertainment by Bush Hawg of RCA Records Nashville. Meanwhile, coordinators say party-goers will have the chance to choose from a passel of premier auction items. Each golfer will receive two tickets for the event, which is set to last until midnight.

Additional tickets are $75 per person. Attendees are encouraged to throw on a cowboy hat and some boots, and blue jeans are welcome. The ticket price includes two complimentary drink tickets, plus one event signature drink, cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
