State Farm to Add 800 Jobs in Atlanta

State Farm will add 800 jobs in Atlanta in the next six months, as the nation’s largest property and casualty insurance company beefs up its local presence.
The new jobs are in addition to the 500 jobs the company said, last summer, it would add in Atlanta.
In the past year, State Farm has leased about 1 million square feet of office space in several buildings in the Central Perimeter business district.
State Farm could be mulling a regional consolidation in metro Atlanta — a move that might involve shutting operations in several states and bringing several thousand jobs to the area.
