Hartsfield-Jackson Traffic Up 4% in March

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport announced today that passenger traffic in March was 3.96 percent higher than a year earlier, increasing from 7,907,748 passengers in 2011 to 8,220,525 passengers in 2012.
Total passenger traffic for the year to date increased by 6.14 percent over the same period last year — from 20,500,059 in 2011 to 21,758,162 in 2012.
Aircraft operations (landings and takeoffs) in March were 0.86 percent lower than a year earlier, decreasing from 81,373 to 80,677 but increased by 2.4 percent for the year to date.
Total air cargo for March decreased by 2.24 percent compared with last year — from 58,015 in 2011 to 56,718 in 2012 — and decreased by 2.20 percent for the year to date.
