Verizon Wireless, which operates the nation's largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network, announced today thatJonathan LeComptehas been named president of itsGeorgia/Alabama Region. He replacesJeff Mango, who has been named Vice President ofCustomer and Business Intelligence at Verizon Communications and will now be based inBasking Ridge, NJ. LeCompte -- who was most recently the director of Retail Sales for the company'sNorthern California/Nevada/Hawaii Region -- will oversee sales, customer service operations and marketing for bothGeorgiaandAlabama. He will report to South Area presidentRoger Tang.

"Jonathan has a long history with Verizon Wireless and brings a wealth of strategic sales management and operational experience to his new role," said Tang. "Given his previous successes, we're confident he will lead theGeorgia/Alabama Region to continued growth and success."

With nearly 20 years of telecommunications experience with Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies, LeCompte has held sales leadership positions across the company's Retail, Telesales and Indirect distribution channels. He has also served as acting president for both theNorthern California/Nevada/Hawaii Region and the Southern California Region, where he was responsible for delivering improved growth in market share, revenue, profitability and customer experience. LeCompte is a three-time Verizon Wireless President's Cabinet award honoree.

LeCompte holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration fromSeattle University's Albers School of Business and Economics. He and his family are relocating from theSan Francisco Bay AreatoAlpharetta, GA, where LeCompte will be based.
