Ryan's Family Steak House (1228 Westover Rd) Score: 88 B

Violations:Observed bakery fridge cold holding foods above 41F (around 54F) although outside of fridge indicated an ambient temperature of 32F. It appears the fridge is broken and a maintenance person has been called to fix it.Several items on bar where using "time as a public health control" such as tomatoes and eggs on the salad bar, with out the propoer notification and monitoring. EHS gave operator sheet to use to monitor food items held out of temperature.Observed several cutting boards in disrepair as well as several that had extensive mold build-up. Was told by operator the boards are resurfaced every 8 months and the boards will be resurfaced next month.

McDonalds (2448 N Slappey Blvd) Score: 90 A

Violations:Observed hamburger patties and strawberries stored in coolers uncovered and subject to contamination.Observed mold/slime buildup on soda dispensing nozzles in customer service area.Observed utensils stacked wet.Observed interior of reach in cooler gaskets need cleaning.Observed food waste in dumspter not enclosed in bags (tied).Observed drain plug missing from dumpster.

El Vaquero (2700 Old Dawson) Score: 98 A

Violations:Replace all bowls currently being used in sugar, rice, flour with scoops with handles to prevent contamination. Observed some trashcans (specifically the one in the dish washing area) without lids containing food product.Observed drain plug missing from dumpster.

China Garden USA (2719 Dawson Rd) Score: 97 A

Violations:Observed a pair of shorts hanging in fridge. All personal items must be stored elsewhere.Observed a wooden cuttingboard being used on prep fridge table. Wooden cuttingboards are not allowed in the Food Service Rules.Observed several wiping cloths not stored in a sanitizer solution. When not in use, wiping cloths must be stored in a sanitizer solution.

Corner Cafe (2206 Dawson Rd) Score: 93 A

Violations:Observed large walk-in cooler leaking and holding at temperatures slightly above 41F. Fridge needs to be turned down to allow foods to hold at 41F during busy service periods. Source of water leak needs to be determined so that water does not leak over food in fridge.Observed several cuttingboards with mold on them. Cuttingboards need to have either a deep clean, resufacing, or be thrownout and replaced.Observed inside of both iced tea urns in need of a deep clean. A lot of tea residue and build-up is present.Observed dirty fan still in use.
