Companies who want to take advantage of business opportunities in Canada during the Southeastern United States-Canadian Provinces (SEUS-CP) Alliance’s 2011 conference still have time to register by the June 6 deadline. The conference will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick, June 12-14 and will be attended by Governor Nathan Deal and more than 200 other Canadian and U.S. business and government leaders.
The SEUS-CP conference will also provide matchmaking services to those participating in business meetings at the conference. The deadline for matchmaking registration is Friday, May 20, and is complimentary with conference registration. A professional matchmaking consultant will be pairing businesses to ensure maximum productivity.
The conference is an opportunity for businesses in both regions to build strategic partnerships and establish mutually-beneficial relationships. Target sectors include the information and communication technologies, advanced manufacturing and clean tech industries. Industry members will uncover new buyers, research collaborators and investors for businesses through meetings, networking and discussion forums.
The SEUS-CP Alliance continues to strengthen the connection between Georgia and Canada. Canada is Georgia’s top export partner, with exports to Canada making up 17 percent of Georgia’s total exports in 2010. Georgia is also home to the Southeast’s Canadian Consulate General, the Quebec Trade and Investment Office and the Canadian-American Society of the Southeast U.S.
