Governor Deal Hopes European Trip Will Lure Business To Georgia

In an exclusive interview with Channel 2 Action News, Gov. Nathan Deal said he hopes his upcoming European visit will mean more international businesses will locate in Georgia and bring with them much-needed jobs.

Deal will leave for England and Germany on Saturday and plans to meet with business and government leaders in both countries.

“We know much of the job opportunities we’ve had over the last several years have been from companies from overseas who have decided to come to our state,” Deal told Channel 2’s Richard Elliot. “And we’re grateful for that. They have provided good jobs for our people, and we want to enhance that.”
