The Albany Welcome Center Celebrates Tourism and Travel

This week is the 28th annual National Travel and Tourism Week. And the Convention and Visitor's Bureau made a few special announcements Tuesday. Local hotels and attractions gathered at the Welcome Center.
While there, the CVB announced the launch later this week of an updated version oftheirnew website,VisitAlbanyGA.com, as well as the fact that they are officially an accredited CVB!
Travel and tourism is a $172 million industry for Albany, providing 2,000 jobs and generating over $5 million in local tax revenue.
