SOWEGA-AHEC Named Finalist for TechBridge Technology Innovation Award

Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center (SOWEGA-AHEC) has been selected as one of three finalists for the 2011 TechBridge Technology Innovation Award, given by Accenture. Winner will be announced on May 7, 2011 at the 2011 Digital Ball in Atlanta, GA.
The winning nonprofit gets to see its technology vision put into action! Specifically, the winner will receive the following Award, valued at over $55,000:
- $25,000 in TechBridge Services
- Up to $25,000 in Microsoft Software
- $5,000 Cash Grant for Project Implementation/Startup Operating Costs
- One Year TechBridge Membership
Two finalists will each receive the following Award, valued at over $13,000:
- TechBridge Technology Assessment
- Up to $10,000 in Microsoft Software
- $1,000 Cash Grant
- One Year TechBridge Membership
The winner and two finalists will also:
- Be profiled at TechBridge's prestigious Digital Ball® on May 7, 2011 where the award will be presented in front of some of most influential technology and business leaders;
- Be highlighted in Digital Ball program and promotional materials; and
- Each receive 2 tickets to attend the Digital Ball ($800 value)
The presenting Award sponsor, Accenture, is underwriting the TechBridge consulting services and cash grants. The Microsoft software is being provided by Microsoft Corporation.
SOWEGA-AHEC is a community-driven not-for-profit organization located in Albany, GA whose goal is to improve access to healthcare by improving the number and distribution of healthcare providers in 38 counties in southwest Georgia.
