Georgia Manufacturing Spikes in March

After a February rebound, Georgia’s manufacturing sector jumped into high gear in March to hit a level not seen since April 2006.
According to the Econometric Center at Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business, Georgia’s Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) -- a reading of economic activity in the state’s manufacturing sector -- was 67.6 in March. This was up 5.1 points from February and 6.4 points higher than the national PMI.
