SNL Financial’s large bank rankings for the fourth quarter of 2010 put SunTrust at No. 11 and Synovus at No. 37.
The quarterly report, released Wednesday, ranks the top 50 U.S. banks based on assets.
Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks Inc. (NYSE: STI) had $172.9 billion in assets and $123 billion in deposits at the end of the fourth quarter last year. In the third quarter, the bank was also in 13th place.
